Our DNA is passed down, mixed and remixed by generations of ancestors surviving, sustaining, and loving with their hearts beating and blood pumping. I shot this motion blur abstraction of a brilliant sunset from the shores of Haida Gwaii with bloodlines on the mind as I accompanied my chosen uncle in his reunion as a Baby Scoop era adoptee with his Haida family of origin,, culture and official Haida naming ceremony.
