Can’t Stop Falling in Love is an image I created of Tsusiat Falls on the West Coast of Vancouver Island Canada. The falls empty almost directly into the Pacific Ocean and are only accessible by the remote coastal backpacking route known as the West Coast Trail residing on the traditional lands of Huu-ay-aht, Ditidaht, and Pacheedaht First Nations. They serve as a popular camping spot and water source for backpackers - in fact my trip partner and I slept soundly to the beating water just out of frame. The love I have for Vancouver Island grows and compounds with each visit. In a sense, I simply ‘can’t stop falling in love’ and in this instance, I was treated to a beautiful rainbow at the base of the falls after bathing under the cascading water. Love is refreshing, like the crisp falling water from a temperate rainforest on a hot summer day. I hope you can dive into this bright colored image and explore the feelings of love and rejuvenation.
