‘Tempered Passion’ is a limited edition image from the central California coast. A burning intensity has always resided inside of me, channeling itself into various passions that have filled my life with a diversity of experience. They have led me to some of the highest highs and lowest lows. As I’ve matured in life, I’ve learned they must be tempered, worked thoroughly with mindful attention to embody a resiliency and consistency. I’ve learned not to deny this burning in my depths, but to build a larger container to maintain the capacity and robustness to harness this energy within. I see this piece as resembling the inner energetic workings of this intensity. With dark purple depths, pulling energy into a seething, but contained bath of red, then spreading into the atmosphere above. I hope this image inspires you to evaluate your deeper self, to understand what intensity resides in you and how it may be harnessed into healthy passion.
